FAQ

Quick answers to common questions.

Can the agent take action without me approving it?

No. Anything that starts real work goes through a Pitch card, and Pitches only run after you tap GO. Decisions never trigger an action on their own — they just record your answer.

Why is the Pitches or Decisions section empty?

That's normal — it means there's nothing open right now, not an error. The app deliberately hides these sections rather than showing an error state if there's a connectivity hiccup, so an empty section usually just means "nothing pending."

What's the difference between "Waiting" and "Needs Action"?

"Waiting" (amber dot) is a general status meaning a session needs your input. "Needs Action" is a badge specifically on Pitch cards that have unresolved asks blocking them — it's a more specific flag within the Pitches deck.

Do I need to respond to Pitches/Decisions immediately?

No — they sit and wait. Anything genuinely time-sensitive will say so on the card (e.g. a deadline before an offer expires).

Is this available on the App Store?

No — Hermes Focus is personal software built for one agent and one person, installed directly via TestFlight or on-device install.

Something on screen doesn't match this guide — what do I trust?

The app's own copy always wins. This guide is kept in sync with the app, but if you ever spot drift, the in-app text is the source of truth.
